Borough Court is our family home and occupied by Sophie and Edward Bullen plus one, some, or all five of our children at various times so we do have some house rules which, if you are considering booking accommodation with us, we would ask you to consider.
Firstly this is our home and not a hotel, which means hotel rules do not apply. We ask you to treat our home as you would expect any guest to treat yours. Please adhere to check in and out within the times specified under the ‘Book’ section on the website. If you are running late please do give us a call so we know when to expect you. If you are likely to be coming come back from dinner, a wedding, or a party in the evening please let us know beforehand and we can arrange to leave a key out for you.
As a B&B we do not serve dinner or provide room service but are happy to offer suggestions for those wishing to have dinner in the local area. Should you wish to have somewhere peaceful to work, read a newspaper, help yourself to a nightcap, or simply relax, guests have access to our beautiful drawing room situated directly off the main hall. We also cannot have tea and coffee making facilities in bedrooms due to our insurance policy, so if you like to have an early cup of tea in the morning, or at any other time of the day, please ask and we can set this up in the dining room for you.
Due to the fact Borough Court is an extremely old house we do not have disabled access to our bedrooms and dependent on which room you book there is at least one if not two staircases to negotiate!
Wifi is available throughout the house but password protected, which can obviously be provided on request.
We have horses, dogs and cats on the property so please be aware of this if you suffer from animal related allergies.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.
